SSU detains another enemy agent who adjusted russian air strikes on Mykolaiv

The SSU detained another informant who provided the enemy with intelligence on locations of the Defence Forces in Mykolaiv.

The offender also passed to the aggressor coordinates of local social infrastructure facilities, including educational institutions and hospitals.

For each ‘mark’ on the electronic map, the man received UAH 2,000 from russians (USD 54).

Occupiers needed the intelligence to prepare massive air attacks on Mykolaiv.

According to the investigation, the spotter is a student of a local university, whom russian intelligence remotely involved in covert cooperation in March 2023.

The individual came to their attention because of his pro-kremlin comments, which he repeatedly posted on Telegram channels.

The informant communicated with the aggressor through an anonymous chat in a messenger app.

During the search of the suspect’s home, the SSU found mobile phones with evidence of the crime.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion.

The court has chosen custody as a measure of restraint.

The offender is facing up to 12 years in prison. The investigation is underway.

The SSU Office in Mykolaiv region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
