SSU detains another agent who helped enemy carry out strikes in Mykolaiv

The SSU detained another artillery observer, who collected and passed information to the enemy on location and movement of Ukrainian Armed Forces in Mykolaiv.

According to the investigation, the traitor is a 62-year-old local pensioner. He himself took the initiative to help the enemy for ideological reasons. Through messengers and social networks, he transmitted data to the enemy on:

  • location of servicemen and military formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • movement of military equipment and means of destruction in Mykolaiv region.

The agent sent georeferenced data, with coordinates and detailed descriptions.

The suspect has been detained and notified of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on the transfer of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).

During the search of the agent’s home, the SSU seized a mobile phone and a laptop with evidence of unlawful activity.

The investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances, identify and bring to justice all those involved in the crime.

The SSU Office in Mykolaiv Region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Mykolaiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
