SSU detains another mole of russian intelligence in AFU: traitor intended to adjust russian strike on his unit
The SSU has apprehended an enemy agent who mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to adjust ruscist attacks on Ukrainian defenders.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator is a 30-year-old resident of Odesa. The russian intelligence recruited him through Telegram channels, where he was looking for quick money.
At first, the asset completed a test task. Then, in August 2024, on the orders of his russian handler, he joined one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The SSU documented every step of his sabotage activities and detained him ‘red-handed’ when he was preparing to send coordinates to russia.
The aggressor’s priority targets were training centers and permanent deployment points of our air defense, where the mole had enrolled.
The occupiers hoped to strike these locations at a time when there would be high concentrations of military personnel.
During the attack, the traitor himself planned to hide outside the unit in order to continue to adjust the fire.
During the searches, the SSU found a mobile phone with evidence of the crime.
SSU investigators notified the detained individual of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor’s Office of the Southern Region.
