SSU detains another collaborator who called on Ukrainians to ‘vote’ for Kherson region to ‘join’ russia
The SSU has uncovered another collaborator who organized the kremlin’s sham referendum during the occupation of the right bank Kherson oblast.
The perpetrator is a resident of Dudchany village, Beryslav district. After the community was occupied, she voluntarily joined the local ‘election commission’.
‘Serving’ in the pseudo-institution, the woman agitated her fellow villagers to ‘vote for the region’s accession’ to russia.
To collect signatures, she took ruscist ballots with her and went door to door, accompanied by armed invaders.
If people refused to participate in the fake referendum, the ‘official’ threatened them with imprisonment and confiscation of property.
During the sham plebiscite, the collaborator also took part in campaigning to praise the criminal activities of gauleiter Saldo.
For cooperation, the occupiers’ accomplice received a one-off cash ‘reward’ of RUB 50,000 and was allowed to move freely in the area.
The SSU located and detained her in the course of stabilization measures in the de-occupied part of Kherson region.
Based on the evidence, the SSU served the detained woman a notice of suspicion under Articles 28.2, 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration, committed by a group, upon prior conspiracy).
The suspect is in custody and faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. The investigation is ongoing.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kherson region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
