SSU detains party of regions collaborator in Kherson who threatened with shooting for refusal to ‘vote’ at sham referendum
In the course of stabilization measures in the liberated Kherson, the SSU exposed another enemy accomplice.
The offender is a resident of Kherson, who was a member of the local branch of the party of regions.
After the city was captured, the woman voluntarily cooperated with the enemy and offered her assistance in the war against Ukraine.
For this, she received a russian passport and was ‘appointed’ to head a ‘precinct election commission’ created by the aggressor.
While in her ‘position’, the collaborator fulfilled moscow’s task to organize and conduct an illegal referendum in the temporarily occupied part of southern Ukraine.
The collaborator launched a broad campaign in support of the fake plebiscite in one of the city districts.
The woman personally urged people to come to the ‘polling stations’ and ‘vote’ in favor of the aggressor state.
In addition, she personally visited private households and demanded from people to put the right ‘mark in the ballot’.
In case of refusal, she immediately called the armed ruscists who accompanied her. Occupiers broke into citizens’ homes and threatened to shoot them.
After Kherson’s liberation, the collaborator tried to ‘get lost’ and avoid justice.
However, the SSU exposed and detained her. The offender was found to have a russian passport and a party ticket of the pro-russian party.
Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under the Articles 28.2 and 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration, participation in the organization and holding of illegal elections and/or referendums in the temporarily occupied territory, committed by a group of persons).
Court chose custody as a measure of restraint.
The SSU Office in Kherson region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
