Kherson: SSU detains former chief of russian railway workshop that repaired locomotives of enemy military trains

In the course of stabilization efforts in the liberated Kherson, the SSU exposed another ruscists’ accomplice.

The offender is a local resident who supported russian invaders when the full-scale invasion began.

Immediately after the occupation of Kherson, he offered the aggressor his assistance in the war against Ukraine and voluntarily agreed to join the local occupation administration.

There, the individual was appointed the chief of a technical unit in the ‘state unitary enterprise Kherson Railway’ created by the invaders.

On moscow’s instructions, this occupation entity ensured the transportation of russia’s personnel, weapons, ammunition and military equipment to the occupied areas of southern Ukraine.

The ‘official’ was also responsible for repair of diesel locomotives and other rolling stock of russian military echelons.

After Kherson’s liberation, the offender tried to ‘lie low’ and avoid justice.

However, the SSU established his location and detained him.

SSU investigators have served the detainee a notice of suspicion under the Article 111-2.1 of the CCU (aiding the aggressor state).

The court chose custody as a measure of restraint.

The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU exposed the offender under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
