SSU detains former law enforcement officer in Kherson who helped enemy create local FSB ‘branch’ (video)
In the course of stabilization measures in liberated Kherson, the SSU detained another enemy accomplice.
During the occupation of the city, the man helped the FSB to organize the activities of their ‘local office’.
This occupation entity, called the ‘state security service’, was to fulfill moscow’s tasks to suppress the resistance movement and spread the kremlin’s regime.
The aggressor’s accomplice was looking for ‘like-minded people’, whom he offered to join the FSB ‘branch’.
He was also involved in the formation of the FSB’s human intelligence network, which was to carry out reconnaissance and sabotage in the south of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the traitor is a former local law enforcement officer, who retired in 2010.
He came to the FSB’s attention before the full-scale invasion. Then, the enemy asked him to help in collecting information on the socio-political situation in Kherson.
After Kherson was captured, the russian handler contacted the agent and continued to coordinate his activity.
The individual used his own connections among former employees of law enforcement agencies to find ‘candidates’ to the ranks of the moscow-controlled ‘state security service’.
For cooperation, the aggressor promised him a leading ‘position’ in the occupiers’ pseudo-agency.
After Kherson’s liberation, the enemy accomplice tried to ‘lie low’ and hide from justice.
However, the SSU located and detained him.
SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion, and court chose custody as a measure of restraint.
The SSU Office in Kherson region carried out the operation with the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
