SSU detains enemy informants preparing missile attacks on SSU and AFU units in Kherson (video)
The SSU has prevented russia’s new attempts to adjust missile and drone strikes on the locations of the Defence Forces in Kherson.
As a result of a special operation in the city, a group of enemy agents was detained. They were preparing a new series of air attacks.
The enemy intended to target temporary bases of Ukrainian defenders, hoping to hit the units of the Security Service and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the group consisted of four employees of local trucking companies.
Each of them acted according to clearly defined instructions.
For example, two of them were bus drivers. While transporting passengers, they tracked the movement and arrival points of military equipment.
The other two were fleet managers. In their free time, they would walk around the city to conduct additional reconnaissance of the targets.
The perpetrators also spoke to the staff of petrol stations and shops to find out about enemy hits and their consequences.
The members of the network passed the collected information to the ‘head’ of the group, a woman. She ‘reported’ to the russian military intelligence (‘the GRU’).
Communication with the enemy service was carried out through a ‘liaison’ on the left bank of Kherson region.
The invaders planned to use the data to prepare new strikes on the city.
However, the SSU thwarted the adversary’s plans. The traitors were timely uncovered, and their actions – documented.
Measures were taken to protect Ukrainian personnel and military equipment.
During the searches at the suspects’ homes, the SSU found kremlin symbols, russian guard chevrons and mobile phones with evidence of the crime.
SSU investigators have now served the four detainees suspicion notices under Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on direction, movement of weapons, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU, committed under martial law).
The suspects are in custody and face up to 8 years in prison.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Kherson Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
