SSU detains pro-kremlin blogger who was hiding from justice in UOC-MP monastery
In Kyiv, the SSU detained another enemy propagandist who publicly justified russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
The aggressor’s accomplice is a Kyiv-based blogger, founder of the so-called ‘russian club’. The individual was engaged in preparing ‘custom-made’ publications for russian sanctioned news agencies, e.g. ‘russian people’s line’ and ‘one homeland’.
In his publications, the blogger called the seizure of Crimea and parts of Ukraine’s eastern regions ‘reasonable’ and popularized the terrorist organizations ‘L/DNR’.
In August 2022, he was notified of suspicion in absentia under the Article 111.1 of the CCU (high treason).
The suspect tried to hide from justice on the territory of the Holy Annunciation Monastery of moscow patriarchate’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
However, the SSU found and detained him.
According to the investigation, the blogger’s provocative materials and public speeches were actively used by russian special services to conduct information sabotage against Ukraine.
The traitor received monetary reward from the aggressor for each ‘portion’ of destructive content.
The court has chosen custody as a measure of restraint. The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
