SSU detains enemy informant who spied on Ukrainian military equipment from her home in Sloviansk

In Donetsk oblast, the SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy asset. The woman tried to identify locations of Ukraine’s Defence Forces in Sloviansk in order to guide and adjust russian strikes on them.

The aggressor was primarily interested in routes of movement of Ukrainian artillery, including multiple launch rocket systems involved in the counteroffensive near Bakhmut.

To track the movement of Ukrainian troops, the agent set up an ‘observation point’ in her apartment, spying on our military from her window.

She sent the collected data to one of the pro-kremlin Telegram channels administered by russian intelligence services.

As a result of counter-sabotage efforts, the SSU apprehended the traitor.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served the detained enemy accomplice a notice of suspicion under Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on sending, transfer of weapons, armaments and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU).

Court is to decide on custody as a measure of restraint. The suspect is facing up to 8 years in prison.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
