SSU detains blogger who worked for shariy’s Telegram channel (video)

The SSU cyber specialists have exposed another enemy accomplice in the frontline areas of the south of Ukraine.

The traitor is a blogger from Zaporizhzhia, who passed information to the aggressor state on the consequences of russia’s missile strikes on the city.

To do this, he created a specialized Internet platform, where published photos and video footage with his own comments and texts describing the events.

According to the investigation, information from the platform was ‘picked up’ by russian special services to collect intelligence on the consequences of missile and artillery strikes on the region.

In addition, the pro-kremlin propagandist shariy actively used the blogger’s ‘material’ to fill his own Telegram channel and conduct information and subversive activity against Ukraine.

Using ‘reposted’ videos from Zaporizhzhia, shariy produced destructive content denying russia’s involvement in obliteration of civilian and critical infrastructure of Ukrainian cities.

In the meantime, russian occupation troops on the southern direction used the blogger’s data to adjust attacks on the region.

The SSU detained the suspect when he carried out another attempt to disseminate information in favor of the aggressor state. A mobile phone with evidence of unlawful activity was seized from the detainee.

The decision is pending on bringing the offender to criminal responsibility for unauthorized dissemination of information on sending, transfer of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law (Article 114-2 of the CCU).

The crime is punishable by up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the cyber unit of the SSU Zaporizhzhia Office.
