The Security Service of Ukraine detained in Zhytomyr a member of the international terrorist organization "Islamic State", who is on the Interpol’s wanted list.

Allegedly, a resident of a Central Asian country arrived in Ukraine to avoid criminal prosecution. Staying in Zhytomyr, the foreigner tried to obtain legal status by getting a temporary residence permit.

As of now, the court applied to the detainee an extradition arrest.

The operation was carried out jointly with the SBU Office in Zhytomyr region, the National Police and the Prosecutor's Office of Zhytomyr region.
