SSU detains collaborator in Lyman, who offered russian field rations in exchange for support of occupation authorities
In the course of stabilization measures in the liberated areas of Donetsk region, the SSU exposed another enemy accomplice.
During the capture of Lyman, the woman voluntarily decided to collaborate with invaders and joined the local occupation administration.
There, she was appointed ‘head of the Northern microdistrict’, where the collaborator contributed to spread kremlin’s regime and provided information to the aggressor on local members of the resistance movement.
The ‘microdistrict head’ also helped occupiers organize the sham referendum on the ‘accession’ of the region to the aggressor state.
To ensure support for the ‘new government’ and collect required ‘votes’, the woman offered ‘humanitarian aid’ from russia – a food package with propaganda leaflets.
In case locals refused to support the fake plebiscite, she threatened with repressions and ‘complaining’ to the occupation authorities.
According to the investigation, the enemy’s accomplice is a local resident who, after the town was captured, approached the invaders and offered them her assistance in the war against Ukraine.
To prove her loyalty, she provided the occupiers with lists of Ukrainian patriots, who could potentially resist russians.
After Lyman’s liberation, the collaborator tried to hide and avoid justice.
However, she failed. The offender was detained and notified of suspicion under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration, voluntary occupation by a citizen of Ukraine of a position related to performing organizational, administrative or administrative-economic functions in unlawful authorities established in the temporarily occupied territory).
Court chose custody as a measure of restraint for the suspect.
The crime is punishable by up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions exposed the offender under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
