Odesa: SBU detains “serial” miner of courts
The SBU detained an Odesa resident who systematically sent anonymous reporting of minelaying in judicial agencies of Odesa and other cities.
SBU officers documented that the offender acted since 2019. He regularly made bomb threats against government buildings and companies.
The SBU established that the Odesa resident was involved in criminal proceedings of large scale fraud. During court hearings the offender had sent anonymous reporting of minelaying and thus disrupted legal actions.
The law enforcement detained the criminal while making a hoax bomb threat according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the issue of serving the offender a suspicion notice for making hoax bomb threat is being resolved.
He faces from four to eight years in prison.
The operation was conducted in cooperation with investigators of the National Police under the supervision of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
We recall that in January the SBU detained a hoax caller from Zaporizzhia for systematic bomb threats against state institutions and critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine and abroad.
