SSU detains ‘high-ranking’ collaborator, who headed ‘staff’ of occupation administration in liberated district of Mykolaiv region
In the course of stabilization efforts in the liberated areas of Mykolaiv region, the SSU exposed another enemy accomplice.
The offender is a resident of Snihurivka, who joined the occupation administration of the aggressor state and held the position of ‘chief of staff’ in the illegal authority created in the temporarily occupied territory of Snihurivka district.
In the ‘position’, the collaborator performed organizational, administrative and economic functions. The enemy accomplice also offered ‘posts’ in the occupation administration and dealt with documents necessary for handing out ‘humanitarian aid’ and money to a separate group of local residents in the occupied Snihurivka.
The collaborator contributed to the spread of kremlin regime and supported ruscists’ repressive measures in the region. Trying to involve locals in criminal activities, she conducted interviews with them, promoted among the local population the supposed ‘improvement of life and support from russia’.
After the liberation of the district, the offender tried to escape to the temporarily uncontrolled territory in the south of Ukraine, where she planned to hide from justice.
However, the traitor failed. The SSU located and detained her.
The detainee was notified of suspicion under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration).
Court is to choose the measure of restraint. She faces imprisonment for up to 10 years with deprivation of right to hold certain positions.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
The SSU Office in Mykolaiv Region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of Mykolaiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
