SSU detains female FSB agent group that adjusted missile strikes on Odesa

The SSU has dismantled an FSB agent group operating in Odesa. The cell included three city residents aged 19 to 23, who worked in a local coffee shop.

On the instructions of the russian service, they were preparing a massive missile and drone strike on military infrastructure in Odesa.

To identify the coordinates of targets, the agents moved around the city pretending to be going for walks.

If they found the ‘right’ object, they took pictures against its background, including georeferenced selfies.

The enemy was interested in the locations of military enlistment offices and medical facilities where Ukrainian defenders undergo treatment.

The traitors also tried to identify combat positions of air defence and coast guard units protecting the city.

The collected intelligence was transmitted via a messenger app to their FSB handler.

For tradecraft, they used nicknames and anonymous chat rooms.

For each completed assignment, the women received money from the russian service.

The assets also asked their handler for a timely extraction and employment in one of the russian intelligence services.

However, the SSU thwarted the aggressor’s plans, documented the crime and detained all three suspects when they were preparing a report to the FSB.

Action was taken to protect locations of Ukrainian troops.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators notified the detainees of suspicion under Articles 28.2, 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed by a group, under martial law).

The suspects are in custody and face life imprisonment.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
