SSU detains traitor who was on FSB’s payroll for adjusting air strikes on Odesa
In Odesa, the SSU cyber units have detained an agent working for the FSB.
For regular payments from occupiers, their accomplice collected intelligence on locations of the Defence Forces in Odesa.
After enemy air attacks on the city, the woman walked near the affected sites and recorded consequences of the strikes.
For each completed assignment, she received up to UAH 20,000 (USD 530) from her FSB handler. The amounts were transferred in cryptocurrency to the asset’s electronic wallet.
The invaders needed the intelligence to prepare new and adjust repeated air strikes on Odesa using cruise or ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones.
The SSU detained the traitor during counter-sabotage operations when she was conducting reconnaissance near a Ukrainian military facility.
According to the investigation, the spy is a local resident with pro-russian views who wanted to ‘make some extra money’ by collaborating with the enemy special service.
For secrecy, she was constantly changing mobile numbers and phones.
During the searches at the suspect’s home, the SSU found bank cards and phones with evidence of her reconnaissance and sabotage activities against Ukraine.
Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served the detained woman a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law). The suspect is in custody and has fully pleaded guilty to collaborating with the FSB. The investigation is ongoing. The offender is facing life imprisonment.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Odesa, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Odesa Region Prosecutor’s Office.
