SSU detains traitor who spied on SSU officers and adjusted strikes on Zaporizhzhia (audio)

The SSU Counterintelligence has detained an FSB agent who tried to spy on SSU officers and adjusted missile strikes on defence enterprises in Zaporizhzhia region.

On the instructions of the FSB, the woman spied on local SSU officers to identify the SSU’s backup locations.

The enemy planned to use this information to prepare missile strikes on these sites.

The agent also tried to establish accurate coordinates of local defence enterprises.

Her handlers sent approximate geolocations of defence plants and tasked the asset to conduct reconnaissance near the facilities.

During the surveillance, she recorded as much as possible: operating hours, intensity of truck traffic in the areas near the workshops etc.

The agent used her friends and groupmates: she asked questions during friendly conversations hoping they would unwittingly provide some information.

Using her data, the invaders intended to carry out targeted missile and drone strikes on the enterprises.

However, the SSU identified the traitor early and apprehended her at the stage of gathering intelligence.

According to the investigation, the suspect is a 19-year-old student of a local university who came to the attention of the FSB in the autumn of 2023.

The girl was recruited remotely through her godmother, a collaborator, one of the chiefs in russia’s occupation administration in one of the temporarily occupied towns in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

It was through her that the FSB gave instructions to the agent and received the intelligence collected.

The detainee has been served a notice of suspicion under Article 28.2, 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law, by a group, upon prior conspiracy).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Zaporizhzhia region jointly with the State Border Guard Service under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
