The SSU, the Armed Forces and other military units continue to destroy the enemy all over Ukraine.

The SSU officers are performing combat missions with other military units, as well as carrying out their classic counterintelligence functions.

Here are just a few of the recent counterintelligence operations of the SSU:

In Mariupol: 

The SSU detained a group of Russian spies. The group included three members who were gathering intelligence on deployment and movement of Ukrainian troops in the region. 

The spies intended to pass the information to their handlers through secure communication channels. 

During the search, the law enforcement seized from the detainees 8 laptops, USB-drives and hard drives with evidence of reconnaissance and sabotage activity.

In the result of this operation, the SSU obtained important intelligence that will be used to destroy the invaders. 

In Mykolaiv region: 

The SSU neutralized a sabotage and reconnaissance group. The invaders tried to reach the strategic facilities in the south of Ukraine. 

Earlier, 15 Russian sabotage groups were eliminated in the region. 

In Vinnytsia: 

The SSU detained a saboteur of the Russian military intelligence who put marks for the enemy’s targeted shelling and missile strikes. 

The enemy agent disguising himself as an ordinary local. He had special equipment and was carrying automatic weapon. 

In Prykarpattia: 

The SSU detained an informant who worked for Russian special services. According to the intelligence, this individual was collecting information on movement of Ukrainian military equipment in the region. 

The spy was detained near a military facility, which the invaders shelled with missiles on the first day of war. 

Throughout Ukraine, the SSU units are acting to verify information coming from citizens on suspicious individuals, to detect and remove marks put by the enemy, as well as to counter sabotage in information and cyber space.
