SSU dismantles FSB agent group hunting for UAV plants in Dnipropetrovsk region
The SSU has neutralized another FSB agent group operating in Dnipropetrovsk region. The perpetrators were preparing coordinates for russian air strikes on military and critical infrastructure facilities in the region.
The enemy’s priority targets were enterprises producing unmanned aerial vehicles for Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
The occupiers were also looking for locations of repair bases for Ukrainian military equipment and key highways used to transport Ukrainian weapons and ammunition to the front line.
To adjust the strikes, the FSB remotely recruited six local residents. To do this, the russian service created a Telegram channel to look for supporters of ruscism.
For conspiracy purposes, the assets acted separately from each other in different settlements of the region, but reported to the same FSB handler.
On his instructions, the agents were tracking the directions of movement of convoys and echelons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and tried to identify military equipment that arrived from the front for maintenance.
To find locations of UAV production facilities, they used personal connections among local population and tried to elicit information from them.
The SSU Counterintelligence documented the actions of the FSB agent group and detained the traitors.
During the searches, the investigators found 16 mobile phones, laptops and tablets with evidence of communication with the russian intelligence.
The SSU served the detained individuals notices of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
They are in custody without the right to bail and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The head of the FSB group, who is in russia, has also been identified.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
