SSU dismantles russian agent network tasked to ensure infiltration of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups in Mykolaiv (video)

The intelligence network was formed by a resident under the supervision of a general of russian occupation forces and consisted of 5 locals.

Following the handlers’ instructions, the agents also collected information on the social and political situation in the region and consequences of the enemy’s missile strikes in Mykolaiv.

To obtain classified information, including the locations of positions of Ukrainian military, the spies tried to use active servicemen as unwitting agents. They tried to learn sensitive information from them in a friendly conversation.

After ‘successful’ missions, some agents were to be extracted to the Crimea, others were promised leading positions in case the region is occupied.

The SSU detained active members of the group in Mykolaiv.

The detainees have been notified of suspicion of committing crime under Article 111.2 (treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
