putin’s strategy to capture Ukraine failed due to inadequate assessment of situation
russian president vladimir putin’s strategy to capture Ukraine has failed, in particular, due to his inadequate assessment of the situation. This opinion was expressed by the Acting SSU Head Vasyl Maliuk in an interview with Natalia Moseychuk for the 1+1 TV channel.
‘He overplayed himself, got deep into theft and got arrogant. This is an old man in his bunker. He really lives in his sick world and will face 2 options: a trial in The Hague or an ignominious death somewhere in a bunker in Altai,’ Vasyl Maliuk said.
He stressed that the SSU had already collected a unique ‘treasure chest’ of evidence of russian crimes in this war for future international criminal courts. Currently, there is a single, so-called ‘mother criminal proceeding’, in which the SSU together with the Prosecutor General’s Office accumulates all available materials.
Vasyl Maliuk also added that putin came from special services and had been infiltrating agents to our country for 20 years. So, the SSU’s mission is to identify all intelligence networks and neutralize them. After all, among other things, they are also engaged in plotting attempts to assassinate Ukraine’s political and military leadership.
‘It’s not a couple of cases, I’ll say: there are up to ten of them,’ the Acting SSU Head added, but noted that the Service uncovered such enemy plans timely and neutralized them.
