This year is a significant increase in the number of applicants who want to study in the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The rector of the SSU National Academy, Andrii Cherniak, said this on the air of the national telethon "United News".

"This year is the largest competition in the history of our institution. Almost 1800 young people applied to enter the Academy. That is, at the initial stage we had 12 people for a place," said Andrii Cherniak.

According to him, these applications have been carefully studied, and as a result, only 400 of the best candidates are currently being selected. This means that at the final stage, 3 people are competing for one position.

Andrii Cherniak also explained how the Academy reformatted the curriculum based on the experience of successful special operations conducted by the SSU. Theoretical knowledge of the cadets should meet the needs of the Security and Defense Forces in wartime.

"One of the main tasks set before us by the SSU Head is the prompt implementation of successful SSU operations. To do this, we have changed our educational programs, focusing on case studies and evaluating the results of operations. We have to provide this practical material to our cadets and students as soon as possible, as an action plan for their future operational and service tasks," explained the rector.

In addition, Andrii Cherniak spoke about the scientific works prepared and published by the Academy based on the experience of the war, in particular, manuals on the investigation and qualification of russian war crimes, information security, methodological recommendations on moral and psychological support of the Armed Forces units, a dictionary of Russian military slang, etc.
