In the city of Dnipro, the SBU jointly with the NABU under the supervision of the SAPO exposed a corrupt judge of a district court. For bribes, he made unjust sentences.

In due course of the lawsuit, the judge proposed money to the attorney to not impede passing of the necessary verdict. For this, the judge extorted USD 2,500 from a party to the dispute.

The SBU documented receiving of the full sum of a bribe in his office.

Within the criminal proceedings initiated for taking a bribe, the issue of serving the detainee suspicion notice is being resolved.

According to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proved through a legal procedure and established by a court verdict of guilty.
