Operatives of the SBU Main Department of Internal Security in the city of Lviv exposed a foreigner who offered a bribe to an SBU employee.

Reportedly, the offender is a representative of one of the region's national minorities engaged in illegal gambling.

He wanted the SBU officer to shield the illegal issuance of permanent residence documents.

The SBU officer duly informed the management about the illegal proposal.

Law enforcement documented the transfer of bribe and detained the offender according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the detainee received a suspicion notice of giving a bribe. The issue of choosing custody as a type of detention is being settled.

The operation was carried out jointly with investigators of the National Police of Lviv region under the supervision of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Lviv garrison.
