15 IAF leaders and terrorists exposed by SBU CI receive suspicion notices

In January 2021, SBU CI exposed 15 IAF members. They were served suspicion notices in absentia. The perpetrators were involved in hostilities against ATO and JFO forces. Ten suspects are wanted.

Within the special preliminary investigation, the illegal activities of the wanted combat commander are being documented. In 2014, the perpetrator took an active part in organizing the seizure of the SBU Office in Luhansk region.

SBU officers also established that the terrorist created the so-called 15th Territorial Defense Battalion “Brianka USSR”, which during 2014-2015 carried out armed resistance against Ukrainian military units.

According to intelligence, a Russian citizen, the organizer of the so-called Pyatnashka International Brigade, is wanted for participating in hostilities against the ATO forces.

The perpetrator is also involved in hijacking Ukrainian troops and intimidating civilians.

SBU investigators served the criminal group in absentia suspicion notices of creation a terrorist group or organization, illegal imprisonment or kidnapping and violation of rules of the warfare.

The pre-trial investigation towards the so-called Deputy Minister of the LNR Ministry of Internal Affairs involved in encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine is underway.

Allegedly, the suspect provided systematic support for the activities of illegal armed groups in temporarily uncontrolled areas of Luhansk region. He currently is wanted.

In Donetsk region, the SBU CI revealed the head of the so-called Border Guard Service of the DNR State Security Ministry (MDB). Thus, he has been providing “border control” on the seized territories of the Ukrainian border since 2015.

The SBU continues to expose and document the illegal activities of IAF members to bring them to justice.
