The SBU conducted planned exercises in Donetsk region to counter terrorist and sabotage threats in the region. The final stage of the training took place at the Slovyansk medical critical infrastructure facility.

In two-day exercises participated regional units of the SBU, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service, public authorities and local self-government.

The participants of the meeting worked out a scheme of joint actions to neutralize the “saboteurs” who, according to the scenatio, planned to carry out sabotage in one of the city medical institutions. The law enforcement were managed to identify and neutralize the perpetrators in a timely manner.

The leadership of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center Headquarters analyzed each phase of the special operation in detail, noting the appropriate level of inter-agency cooperation. Units were also provided with additional recommendations to increase their readiness to counter relevant threats.

The training was conducted by the Coordination Group of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center of the SBU Main Directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
