Vasyl Maliuk: russians are far from reality in their investigation into explosion on Crimean bridge
russians demonstrate their lack of professionalism and carry out a pseudo-investigation into the incident on the Crimean bridge. The Acting Head of the SSU Vasyl Maliuk stated this in an interview to Interfax-Ukraine, answering the question if the SSU has anything to do with the ‘cotton’ [explosion; from russian word ‘khlopok’ meaning ‘bang’ and also meaning ‘cotton’] and ‘self-elimination’ of collaborators in the occupied territories.
‘It’s just that we, Ukrainians, love cotton very much. Even in my office its branches stand in a vase. But is it our fault that russians do not know how to treat it properly? I think they will have multiple chances to try and learn this,’ Vasyl Maliuk said.
He stressed that in the so-called investigation of the incident on the Crimean bridge russians showed their unprofessionalism.
‘They have come to the conclusion that my colleague in the security sector Kyrylo Budanov and the Defence Intelligence of the MoD as a whole were allegedly involved in blowing up the bridge. I assure you that this is not true. And we understand that russians are far from reality overall. As to what actually happened – we’ll be able to talk about it in detail after our Victory,’ the SSU Acting Head commented.
‘And on the Crimean bridge, apparently, some truck refueled with the wrong fuel - and they have what they have. Time will dot the i’s and cross the t’s,’ the SSU Acting Head added.
