SSU prevents more than 50 cyberattacks on government agencies in September

In September 2021, the SSU Cyber Security Situation Center combatted 53 cyberattacks on government agencies as a result of analysis of more than 33,000 identified critical information security incidents.

Note:

A cyberattack is detected due to direct analysis of critical information security incidents.

Main identified cyber threats were the following:

  • C&C Server;
  • Brute Force Attack;
  • Web App Attack;
  • Malware;
  • and other.

The SSU Cyber Security Situation Center includes the security information and event management (SIEM) providing real time analysis of security alerts. Security analysts handle potentially critical events for prompt detection, response and prevention of threats in the national cyberspace.
