Sieverodonetsk city: SBU reveals “LNR” IAF member
In Sieverodonetsk city, SBU exposed a former IAF member of the “LNR” terrorist organization who participated in the seizure of state administration buildings in 2014.
Allegedly, in April 2014, the offender joined the pro-Russian illegal armed group. Law enforcement officers established that the militant was involved in assault on the SBU Office in Luhansk region. Further, being a member of Dromov’s separatists group, he took part in the seizure of administrative agencies in Sieverodonetsk city. According to intelligence, the offender kept in touch and facilitated the activities of the “Yamala” sabotage group, whose members prepared terrorist attacks in Sieverodonetsk on Independence Day in 2014. After the city liberation from the occupation troops, he was hiding from justice for a long time.
Currently, the militant received a suspicion notice of participation in IAF.
Involvement of the suspect in other offences committed in Luhansk region by terrorist groups is being checked.
If convicted, the offender will be imprisoned for a term of 8 years with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out jointly with the Main National Police Department in Luhansk region under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Luhansk region.
