Ukrainian equipment on Russian Navy ship: SBU counterintelligence prevents illegal export of military goods
The SBU counterintelligence prevented illegal export of Ukrainian military goods to Russia. It was planned to transport equipment for the navy of the aggressor country as nondefense goods.
It was established that an end consumer of Ukrainian equipment were Russian military-industrial enterprises, fulfilling defense orders for the navy. The said goods were supplied to the final customer as Russian-made within a state program on import substitution.
The goods were detained at the Zaporizzhia customs post with documents containing false data on origin and end use.
As a result, the SBU prevented violation of current legislation on state export control during transportation of controlled goods for the Russian military needs.
The investigation of violation of the procedure for international transfers of goods subject to state export control is ongoing.
