Odesa: SBU blocks network of call centers serving Russian business

In Odesa, the SBU cyber-experts blocked activity of a network of illegal call-centers which served Russian business financing “LNR”/ “DNR” terrorist organizations.

It was established that the scam was organized by a group of local residents, including businessmen and IT specialists. Five call-centers provided customer support for Russian companies, allegedly involved in financing the occupation administrations in ORDLO areas.

Electronic devices and documents with evidence of illegal cooperation with the aggressor country were seized during searches.

The SBU investigators in Odesa region initiated criminal proceedings for creation of the terrorist organization. Procedural actions against all the identified offenders are under way.

The law enforcement verifies possible involvement of the organizers and employees of the call-centers in facilitating activity of the Russian special services in the temporarily occupied territories.

The pretrial investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted under supervision of the Odesa Region Prosecutor’s Office.
