SSU detains enemy informant who adjusted missile strikes on Odesa

The SSU cyber units exposed another ruscists’ accomplice in Odesa region.

The offender was covertly collecting intelligence on location of the Defence Forces and strategic transport infrastructure facilities in the oblast.

The aggressor’s informant also recorded ‘results’ of russian air attacks and sent the data to the enemy to adjust repeated strikes.

He passed the information to certain ruscist ‘military correspondents’, who then informed the aggressor state’s special services.

For communication, they used an anonymous chat on the banned social network Vkontakte.

To collect intelligence, the agent drove around the region and took photos of Ukrainian targets.

The SSU detained the suspect on his attempt to disclose classified information to the enemy.

According to the investigation, the suspect is a local resident who supports russia’s armed aggression and justifies ruscists’ war crimes.

During the search at the suspect’s home, the SSU found a computer with evidence of his criminal activity.

SSU investigators have notified the detained individual of suspicion under the Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law).

The court chose custody as a measure of restraint for the suspect.

The SSU Office in Odesa region carried out the operation jointly with the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
