SBU Military Counterintelligence prevents illegal sale of military portable radio stations

The SBU Military Counterintelligence prevented sale of multifunctional means of communication. The inventory was stolen from a military unit in Lviv region.

Allegedly, the former serviceman attempted to sell illegally military portable multifunction radios. The offender planned to receive USD 50,000 for 5 devices.

The SBU officers detained him while trying to sell three devices for USD 30,000. The offender was also seized of software, antennas and other components for military equipment.

The investigation upon fact of misappropriation of military equipment and theft is ongoing.

Serving of suspicion notice and terms of detention are being considered.

Measures to identify and prosecute all individuals involved in illegal activity are under way.
