SBU prevents recruitment of two Russians into National Guard
The SBU Military CI officers exposed two candidates for recruitment in the Ukrainian Armed Forces holding dual citizenship.
Two Kyiv residents, a former officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and a native of Russia, concluded an agreement to serve in the National Guard of Ukraine. Drawing up relevant documents, the offenders deliberately concealed Russian citizenship.
According to findings, the former officer received a foreign passport while staying in the temporarily annexed Crimean territory. Allegedly, he contacted with the occupation law enforcement. The other offender graduated in Russia, received a Russian passport, then moved to our state and became a citizen of Ukraine.
At present, the SBU verifies their involvement in Russian special services.
The National Guard received the given intelligence for further actions.
