The SBU put a leader of an “LNR” militant group, who in 2014 took an active part in seizure of the SBU Office in Luhansk region building, on the wanted list.

SBU CI officers and investigators established that in 2014 the offender joined IAF. Allegedly, he organized "protection" of the seized premises of the SBU Office in Luhansk region and instructed militants to attack the ATO forces.

According to findings, the offender created and led a group, aka the 15th Battalion of Territorial Defense “Bryanka USSR”, that in 2014-2015 took part in hostilities against the Ukrainian military units.

Currently, the offender is hiding from justice in the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Luhansk region. SBU investigators served in absentia the suspicion notice of participation in a terrorist group.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing to document the illegal activity of the militants’ leader and bring him to justice.
