The SBU CI officers exposed three members of DNR illegal armed formations who took an active part in combat actions against ATO and JFO servicemen.

Allegedly, in 2014-2015 three offenders, including a commander of an antitank battalion of the so- called Guards Operational and Tactical Group "Kolchuha", joined the terrorist groups. The SBU established that the militants were involved in shelling positions of Ukrainian military units and law enforcement agencies.

Due to the constant presence of militants in the temporarily occupied territory, SBU investigators served in absentia the suspicion notices of creation of terrorist group or organization and creation of unlawful paramilitary or armed formations.

The offenders are on the international wanted list. The court is currently taking a decision on a special pre-trial investigation.

Investigative actions took place under the legal supervision of Zhytomyr Region Prosecutor's Office.
