Since full-scale invasion began, SSU conducted over 3,600 special operations to destroy russian occupiers
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the SSU has carried out more than 3,600 special and combat operations to eliminate enemy groups on the territory of Ukraine.
As a result, thousands of russian invaders and over 700 pieces of enemy military equipment have been destroyed.
This was reported by the SSU Spokesman Artem Dekhtyarenko at a briefing of the Security and Defence Forces.
‘Over the past year, the SSU Special Operations Centre ‘A’ conducted over 2,600 special and almost 1,000 combat operations. Thousands of occupiers and over 700 units of the aggressor’s military equipment were destroyed. In addition to that, the SSU Military Counterintelligence has destroyed over 110 russian tanks. During this period, over 500 SSU officers received state awards. 6 were awarded the title of the Hero of Ukraine. Unfortunately, 4 of them - posthumously,’ Artem Dekhtyarenko informed.
SSU Spokesman added that 3,700 criminal proceedings had been initiated against traitors and collaborators, based on the materials of the SSU Counterintelligence and Military Counterintelligence.
Among the suspects are former MPs and local council members, including Yevhen Balytskyi, Volodymyr Saldo and Ihor Markiv.
‘The SSU has also carried out significant work to stop subversive activities of the pro-russian clergy of moscow patriarchate’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, courts have already handed down 7 guilty verdicts,’ Artem Dekhtyarenko added.
According to the SSU representative, during the year of full-scale aggression the Service exposed over 1,000 pro-kremlin agitators who justified russian war crimes and spread fakes in the Internet about the situation at the front.
‘To neutralize russian information sabotage, over 500 anti-Ukrainian YouTube channels with audience of over 15 million subscribers have been blocked,’ the SSU Spokesman informed.
According to Artem Dekhtyarenko, during 2022 the SSU opened over 64,000 criminal proceedings over russia’s military aggression; 24,000 of them - for violation of laws and customs of war.
‘The SSU will do everything to bring to justice every russian invader and their accomplices for crimes against Ukraine,’ the SSU Spokesman summed up.
