SSU CI investigation leads to 10-year sentences for two L/DNR terrorists
Following the SSU CI investigation, two militants of IAFs of the so-called L/DNR were sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison. They had been fighting against Ukraine for four years.
In 2014, these two citizens of Ukraine joined the terrorist organizations. They put up armed resistance to the ATO/JFO troops shelling Ukrainian military positions and taking part in hostilities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The court found both militants guilty under the Article 258-3.1 (creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization) of the CCU. The verdict came into force. Currently, they are wanted criminals.
The SSU investigators in Lviv region carried out the pre-trial investigation under the supervision of Lviv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
The SSU is exposing members of IAFs in order to detain and prosecute them for crimes against Ukraine’s national security.
