Following SSU CI findings, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of the city of Chernivtsi sentenced a militant of the DNR terrorist organization to 10 years in prison in absentia.

According to the investigation, a native of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, aka Sievier, in the spring of 2014, joined the Vostok militant group. The young radical was immediately enlisted in a tank battalion, later he headed its staff and became the first deputy commander. The terrorist personally led the tank company in combat actions, including the battle of Debaltseve, near the Donetsk airport, Ilovaisk, Avdiivka, Savur-Mohyla, during which the Ukrainian military and law enforcement officers were killed. As a result, the militant received so-called DNR awards.

The court convicted and sentenced him to 10 years for participation in a terrorist organization.

Currently, the convict is hiding from justice in the separatist-held territory of Donetsk region. The fugitive is wanted.
