Following SSU’s investigation, court sentences militant who stormed Rubizhne and Severodonetsk to 10 years behind bars

The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence of guilt of another member of the ‘LNR’ terrorist organization, who fought against Ukraine.

After russia launched its full-scale invasion, he voluntarily joined the occupation groups of the Southern military district of the aggressor state.

With the enemy troops, he took an active part in warfare against the Defence Forces in Slovianoserbskyi district of Luhansk region.

Together with russian invaders, he captured Rubizhne and Severodonetsk.

When storming these Ukrainian cities, the enemy fired at residential buildings from tanks, mortars and heavy flamethrower systems Solntsepiok.

The militant was taken prisoner by Ukrainian defenders during combat in Luhansk sector in June this year.

Based on the SSU’s investigation, court sentenced the accused to 10 years of imprisonment.

According to the investigation, the offender is a resident of the temporarily occupied Sukhodilsk, who in 2021 joined the ranks of illegal armed formations of russia’s 2nd army corps.

There he was appointed a gunner of an infantry fighting vehicle. From such military equipment, he fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops in eastern Ukraine.
