Following SSU investigation, Medvedchuk’s associate, who called for ‘separation’ of Lviv region, gets 13 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the former head of Lviv regional organization of the banned opposition platform – for life  party has been convicted to a real term of imprisonment for high treason.

The woman was Viktor Medvedchuk’s confidant in the western region of Ukraine and worked in the interests of the kremlin.

According to the plan of the russian intelligence, the traitor was undermining the socio-political situation in Lviv oblast.

For this purpose, even before the outbreak of a full-scale war, the enemy agent organized street actions in support of the so-called ‘separation’ of the region from Ukraine.

She also regularly spread kremlin narratives on the air of russian propagandists and on Medvedchuk’s banned TV channels.

During such broadcasts, the perpetrator positioned herself as a ‘political expert’ and spread fakes about the internal situation in western Ukraine, presenting it ‘on behalf of local population’.

The SSU documented the crimes of the aggressor’s agent and detained her in August 2022.

Based on the Service’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.1 of the CCU (high treason) and sentenced her to 13 years in prison.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Lviv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
