Following SSU investigation, FSB agent who spied on Chasiv Yar defenders sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another FSB agent, who operated in Donetsk region, has been convicted to imprisonment.

The woman tried to identify and pass to enemy the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Chasiv Yar.

The aggressor was interested in directions of movement and approximate number of Ukrainian armoured vehicles engaged in continuous battles for the city.

To gather intelligence, the agent travelled around nearby villages and secretly photographed targets.

She used public transport during her reconnaissance raids and constantly changed her routes.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained the enemy asset ‘red-handed’ in January 2024, when she was conducting reconnaissance in the area of possible locations of Ukrainian defenders.

According to the investigation, the traitor is a resident of Kostiantynivka who was recruited remotely by the FSB after the onset of the full-scale war.

Based on the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law) and sentenced her to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Rivne, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
