Following SSU’s investigation, court sentences another 7 russian state duma members who supported ‘L/DNR’ recognition to 15 years in prison

The SSU has collected evidence against another 7 members of russia’s state duma involved in starting a full-scale war against Ukraine.

On February 15, 2022, they supported a resolution to appeal to the russian president with a request to recognize the ‘independence’ of the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

A few days later, the deputies voted in favour of ratifying the ‘agreement on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance’ between the aggressor state and the terrorist organizations ‘L/DNR’.

Further, moscow used these decisions as a formal pretext for launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the members of russian parliament guilty under Article 110.3 of the CCU (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability) and sentenced them to 15 years in prison.

Since the convicts are currently in russia, the beginning of the sentence is determined from the day of their actual detention.

The convicted russian state duma deputies are:

  • Avksentieva Sardana Vladimirovna, d.o.b.: 02 July 1970;
  • Alyokhin Andrey Anatolievich, d.o.b.: 09 February 1959;
  • Ammosov Piotr Revoldovich, d.o.b.: 29 September 1966;
  • Ananskikh Igor Aleksandrovich, d.o.b.: 06 September 1966;
  • Vlasov Vasyl Maksimovich, d.o.b.: 27 June 1995;
  • Gartung Valerii Karlovich, d.o.b.: 12 November 1960;
  • Gorokhov Andrey Yurievich, d.o.b.: 13 January 1960.

The SSU Offices in Vinnytsia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
