Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another FSB agent, who operated in Zaporizhzhia region, has been sentenced to imprisonment.
The traitor helped the occupiers to prepare missile and drone strikes on the frontline territory of the region.
The enemy targeted areas with large concentration of Ukrainian military personnel and equipment involved in combat operations on the southern front.
The russian asset also tried to identify and pass to the aggressor the locations of strongholds and fortifications of Ukrainian troops near the frontline.
The SSU documented his reconnaissance activities and detained him when he was performing an assignment from the enemy in April 2022.
The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigation revealed that the enemy accomplice was a resident of a frontline village and was recruited by the FSB through blogger Yuriy Podolyaka.
To collect intelligence, the perpetrator travelled around the area, covertly recording the locations of AFU units, and passed the information to Podolyaka, who then reported to the FSB.
During the search, the SSU seized computer equipment and a mobile phone used in the crime.
Based on the evidence, the agent was found guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
