Following SSU’s investigation, FSB agent sentenced to 15 years for spying on AFU long-range artillery in Dnipropetrovsk region

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another FSB agent, who operated in Dnipropetrovsk region, has been convicted to prison.

The perpetrator tried to identify possible combat positions of Ukrainian artillery positions in the frontline area.

The agent was particularly interested in the locations of HIMARS systems and M777 howitzers.

He also recorded consequences of russian air attacks on energy facilities in the south of the region.

The asset sent the information on the enemy hits to the occupiers to prepare and adjust new missile and drone strikes.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained him in October 2022 during counter-sabotage operations in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law) and sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Dnipropetrovsk Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
