Following SSU’s investigation, court sentences traitor who helped russia occupy Kyiv region to 15 years in prison

Such a decision was made by Brovary city and district court of Kyiv region basing on the evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to this decision, a 58-year-old resident of Peremoha village, Brovary district, was found guilty of treason committed under martial law and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The investigation established that from the start of the temporary occupation of a part of Kyiv region, the traitor took the initiative to cooperate with the russian armed forces.

He provided the occupiers with:

  • information on the location of checkpoints of Territorial Defence;
  • comprehensive profiles of local residents, including home addresses, type of professional activity and ideological beliefs;
  • personal data of employees of law enforcement agencies, military personnel, participants of Territorial Defence and their family members.

In addition, the traitor helped the occupiers to loot the area - showed the abandoned homes and ‘joined the process.’

In exchange for his loyalty, the invaders ‘guaranteed his personal security.’

The SSU investigated the entire chain of his actions and submitted the file to court.

Now, the convict will serve a fair sentence.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the SSU Main Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
