Following SSU investigation, traitor who guided enemy missiles at Kharkiv defence plants sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another agent of russia’s federal security service has been convicted to 15 years of imprisonment. The perpetrator operated in Kharkiv and prepared a series of enemy air strikes on the city’s strategic infrastructure.

According to the investigation, the aggressor’s accomplice is an employee of a local pharmaceutical company.

Under the guise of company trips, he collected information on military facilities, including defence enterprises, and checked their coordinates with locations on Google maps.

The SSU Counterintelligence uncovered the traitor and detained him during a special operation in Kharkiv in September 2023.

During a search of his home and car, mobile phones with maps of potential targets, which he tried to pass to the FSB, were seized.

The individual came to the attention of the occupiers as an ideological supporter of ruscism, which he repeatedly wrote about on russian social media.

After recruitment, the agent used a covert channel of communication with the FSB through anonymous chats in messengers, which he registered to phone numbers of foreign operators.

After the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Kharkiv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
