Following SSU’s investigation, traitor who shot at Ukrainian servicemen near Robotyne sentenced to 15 years in prison
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another traitor, who fought against the Defence Forces in the south of Ukraine, has been convicted to prison.
The perpetrator was a serviceman of the 810th separate marine brigade of russia’s Black Sea fleet.
In the enemy unit, he built fortifications and fired at Ukrainian positions along the front line in Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukrainian defenders took him prisoner during fierce fighting near Robotyne in August 2023.
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced the accused to 15 years in prison.
According to the investigation, the convicted individual is from the temporarily occupied Simferopol. In November 2022, he voluntarily joined russian occupation forces.
The man was given an automatic weapon with ammunition and appointed a rifleman.
Later, his unit was deployed to the left-bank Kherson region, where he was building fortifications.
The traitor was then sent to Polohy district in Zaporizhzhia oblast to deter Ukraine’s counter-offensive.
Based on the evidence collected, the court found the militant guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Zaporizhzhia under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
