Following SSU investigation, traitor who created kremlin propaganda for russian intelligence sentenced to 15 years in prison
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another agent of russian military intelligence has been convicted to prison for subversive anti-Ukrainian activities in the information domain.
The perpetrator is the head of the ‘russian community of Poltava region’ NGO, an ideological supporter of the kremlin regime.
On the enemy orders, he prepared more than 60 anti-Ukrainian publications, through which the aggressor tried to discredit the Defence Forces and undermine the confidence of international partners in Ukraine.
The traitor supported the aggressive war against Ukraine and justified occupiers’ war crimes in his posts on the Internet.
For example, he denied the invaders’ missile attacks on a shopping centre in Kremenchuk, an apartment building in Dnipro and energy plants in Kyiv.
The enemy asset received almost UAH 250,000 from the occupiers for his ‘work’.
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under two articles of the CCU:
- 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
- 436-2.2, 426-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The sentence is 15 years in prison.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Poltava Office under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s office.
